BIG FAIL !
I have a very full house this week. The textile room has become a temporary bedroom! This means unfortunately I’m not going to get any printing done this week.
So I thought I’d share some ‘learnings’ with you 😀
1. Glueing a photocopy from an inkjet printer on to Japanese vinyl
doesn’t work. I used matte medium and it pulled the blue layer
off.
Normally I just draw onto the lino or use carbon paper. So a
valuable lesson learnt . See photo one.
2. You can check a linocut print by using graphite or talcum. Here is my graphite rubbing. Because the blue layer of vinyl was pulled off, my incisions are not deep enough.
It was a great idea to do a granite rubbing. It meant that I didn’t waste printing ink and paper.
So, I’ll put the whole exercise done to experience 😀
What creative plans do you have this week?
