This week I was going to show you photos of the printing I did with my little friend Elise (7), however I forgot to take photos!
We printed 2 tshirts for her and her baby brother using her own drawings. The tshirts looked fantastic! Elise and I then made a silkscreen monotype for her Mum, Diana . And then framed it. It was beautiful!
Children's art work is spontaneous and colourful. If only, as adults , we could maintain that spontaniety! Vibrant red hearts, pink ;ips, navy kisses all on a lilac backround. Seriously good. And Elise has so much fin. She wants to do kore!
Anyway, here's my attempt at spontaniety! Abstract silkscreen monotype using acrylic paints, transparent print paste and cartridge paper. This is one of my favourite printing techniques. Truth be told, I like most of them. And I'm of to a workshop soon to learn another technique.
Hope you are all having a good week. 2 bathrooms are almost renovated, so feeling very productive. The ex-studio bathroom looks very different!
