This is my last linocut for a while. I have been in Sydney for most of March and want to make prints reflecting the harbour. So, I am going to work on some drypoints and chine colle initially. And the maybe some silkscreen monoprints.
This linocut print was made using Japanese Relief vinyl, my own handprinted paper, Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash Ink black and cartridge paper. i like that I can get crisp lines with this type of relief printing.
I have enrolled myself in several workshops over the next couple of months. Whilst I am very comfortable teaching myself, it is also good to have some hands on experiences. And being challenged!
When was the last time you learnt something new? Not only is it great for your mental health, it's also great for your brain synapses! Learning something new helps create new neural pathways. Something that is beneficial as we age.
