Create beautiful pieces of  art (20 x 20cm) using encaustic medium, cyanotype prints and remmnants of shibori and sashiko fabric.

What is encaustic? It is a medium that has be used in art for2000 years. It consists of wax and damar resin.

This is a nice and easy workshop..plus you take home your art on the day!

All materials, PPE, professional tuition and light refreshments are provided. All you need to do is wear closed in shoes and have some idea of the colours you like. I am generous with my time. There is no pushing you in the workshop and trying to get you out the door in a hurry! 

You will learn:

1. about encaustic medium

2. about how to apply it to boards;

3. how ro embed fabric and paper; and

3. how to frame it.

Because this can be a bit nessy, please wear old clothes.

Maximum of 4 per workshop.

Failure to wear closed in shoes will see you turned away from the workshop.

The studio is air conditioned and located in beautiful bayside Sandgate.

The cost of the workshop is $160pp. 

A non refundable deposit of $60pp is required to secure your booking. Non refundable deposits must be paid within 24 hours. Balance is due on the day.
